# Allow Access to Messages in Instagram

For RUM Work Instagram Channel to work and interact with customers over Instagram Direct Messages, allowing access is must. The following steps will assist you how to do that.

1. Open your Instagram application, and go to your profile next to likes. (Bottom right corner.)

3. From the menu that appears, select **Settings**![](https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/assets/?revision=424874742891505\&name=instagram-newsettings-ios\&density=1)**.**
4. 5. There, Under Connected Tools, set **Allow Access to Messages to** O&#x4E;**.**
