# Allow Access to Messages in Instagram

1. Open your Instagram application, and go to your profile next to likes. (Bottom right corner.)
2. Then, tap on Menu![](/files/FWestBuGYaneKq7qsbuF).
3. From the menu that appears, select **Settings**![](https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/assets/?revision=424874742891505\&name=instagram-newsettings-ios\&density=1)**.**
4. Then from Settings, choose **Privacy** → and then **Messages**<img src="/files/WWQwDG0G7yOBENiVL608" alt="" data-size="line">
5. There, Under Connected Tools, set **Allow Access to Messages to** O&#x4E;**.**
